Metal gobos require bridging which are very small lines that connect the internal structure of letters and designs. If bridging is not added, enclosed areas, such as the inside of the letter "O", would fall out.
Apollo metal gobos are made from 8 mil stainless steel with a high level of nickel and chromium. This type of steel produces a very durable gobo with fine detail image and a long life.
Competitor's gobos are made from 5 mil stainless steel with a high level of carbon. The carbon begins to oxidize (rust) and breakdown faster than a gobo made from steel with nickel and chromium.
Check it out! A magnet requires carbon steel to stick. A magnet will not stick to an Apollo gobo. However, since competitor's use carbon steel to make their gobos, it'll stick.
Metal gobos from Apollo's collection typically ships within 2-4 business days, depending upon availability. However, we regularly ship sooner than indicated.
If you need a gobo sooner, please contact Production Advantage, and we will make every attempt to meet your deadline.
In order to ensure the highest quality, some patterns cannot be produced in a particular size or substrate.
Apollo Aluminum gobos are .016" and are available in all sizes dependent on the pattern's level of detail and gobo size.
SuperResolution Option
All metal patterns can be ordered as SuperResolution B&W glass.
PrintScenic Option
Many of Apollo's metal patterns are also available as a PrintScenic gobo. This is dependent on the pattern's level of detail and gobo size needed. Contact Production Advantage to find out if this pattern is available as a PrintScenic gobo. PrintScenic gobos are designed for use in approved LED fixtures only.

Our full policy is in our Terms and Conditions page. Please Note: Due to unprecedented raw material and component shortages for finished goods throughout our industry, lead times for items that aren't currently in stock are longer than normal and cannot be guaranteed at present. Equipment needed by a firm date must be noted at time of order. While VLS cannot guarantee delivery by those dates, we will work with our suppliers to do everything possible to meet deadlines. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
Online orders received by noon Eastern time typically ship the same day. If your delivery due date is critical please note your due date in the order messages at checkout, and then contact us.
Why Noon? Well, while we stock quite a few items in our warehouse, many items we have dropshipped by our vendors. They need time to process the order, so to ensure that we can get the order to the vendor and give them enough time to ship it out the same day, we need to get the order to them as early as possible in the day.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight and dimension based, as this is the method that FedEx and UPS use to rate the package's cost to ship.
We understand things happen and items occasionally need to be returned. To make things as hassle-free as possible, we have dedicated pages about our Returns Policy (what’s eligible to be returned) and our Return Process (how to go about returning eligible items)
