READY TO USE flame retardant for fabric, wood, cardboard and paper. No mixing required.
FABRIC PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Snuff-It is an interior flame retardant for most fibers. Also works on some cardboard and paper. Snuff-It is unique, as it is one product for most fibers. Not effective on 100% nylon, acetate or acrylic.
WOOD PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Snuff-It is an interior class B flame retardant saturant.
TECHNICAL DATA:
- May need up to 24 hours to cure depending upon fiber characteristics.
- Appearance – consistency and appearance of water.
- Store between 40°and 100°F. Shelf life = 10 years if unopened.
- Snuff-It is water-soluble. It is recommended that all fabrics be dry-cleaned.
- Do not add water or change chemical composition in any way. Always make sure cap stays on container.
- Do not expose to heat above 300°F after application.
- California Certification requires application by a California State Certified Applicator to comply with requirements of the CA State Fire Marshal.

- For Fabric: California Chemical approval #C-22501, NFPA 701, small and large scale; NFPA 701, Test No. 1, CA Title 117, CA Title 19, New York City Administrative Code §27-4266 and 3RCNY §Public Safety Section 1237, FAA 25, 853B, BFD 1X-1, MVSS302, State of Massachusetts, Boston Fire Code, British Standard 5852 PT. 1 & PT.2, New York Port Authority, has been approved by ICBO, City of L.A. TB-603, NFPA 285. Toxicity reports available upon request.
- For Wood: Meets ASTM E-84, UL 723, UBC No. 42y, NFPA 255, Class II flame spread rating, California Chemical Approval #C-22501, ICBO #3656, City of L.A. Approval No. 24303.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Users of this product must determine the suitability of this product for its intended use.
- For Fabric: Snuff-It is ready to use. OSHA recommends: for any liquid, proper hand and eye protection should be worn.
- Snuff-It will cover 200-800 square feet of fabric per gallon depending upon the fiber content of the item being treated. Using a Hudson type sprayer, apply at 40-90 PSI using a fan spray tip, spray entire area and cover completely to fabrics free of coatings and dirt. Testing results will determine chemical amount and cure time.
- For Wood: Snuff-It is ready to use. OSHA recommends: for any liquid use, proper hand and eye protection should be worn.
- All wood must be free from coatings such as paint, sealant or dirt. Snuff-It will cover 250 square feet of wood per gallon. Using a hand Hudson type sprayer, apply at 40-90 PSI using a fan spray tip, spray entire area and cover completely.
CLEAN-UP: Flush sprayer and tips with warm water and wash hands with soap and water.
